Three Decades Experience as a Statistician
I have worked as a professional statistician since 1983, helping manufacturing and service industries through the use of quality improvement techniques, surveys, and statistical analysis of data. I specialize in computing material properties, engineering design basis values, quality improvement, statistical graphics, and basic statistical analysis for research purposes.
Chief Statistician; National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR)
At NIAR, I develop engineering basis values for new composite materials and research better ways to compute those basis values.
I produce basis value and equivalency reports which serve as documentation to regulatory agencies including the FAA.
I train and supervise engineers in the production of basis value and equivalency reports.
Senior Research Engineer and Chief Statistician;
National Center for Advanced Materials Performance (NCAMP)
NCAMP provides a national center for the validation and quality assurance of composites and advanced materials.
Co-Chair of the Statistics Working Group;
Founding member, Board of Directors
Composite Materials Handbook (CMH-17)
CMH-17 is a multi-volume encyclopedia on the correct manufacture of composites, produced by a national coalition of industry, academic and government experts on composite materials sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Consulting
I have consulted in service and manufacturing industries – primarily in aerospace – in both white-collar and blue-collar environments.

Instruction and Training
I have developed and taught classes in statistics, mathematics, statistical process control, computation of basis values, and equivalency testing for universities and corporations.
